Dexibuprofen
The ibuprofen enantiomer dexibuprofen was not previously available for self-medication. It is now available in a single dose of 200 milligrams "for oral use without the addition of other medicinal ingredients". If the following conditions are met, the two painkillers can be dispensed without a prescription:
- Ibuprofen: single dose max. 200 mg / daily dose max. 1200 mg
- Paracetamol single dose max. 500 mg / daily dose max. 3000 mg
The total amount of active ingredients in each pack must not exceed four grams of ibuprofen and ten grams of paracetamol. This corresponds to a maximum quantity of 20 tablets. The indication for the combination is the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain.

Levodropropizine
For the symptomatic treatment of irritable cough, adults and children aged 2 years and over can take levodropropizine orally without a prescription for up to seven days. Quimbo® syrup and drops are available as a corresponding prescription medicine.
