Since 2014, RATTPACK®has been certified according to the energy management standard ISO 50001 and the environmental management standard ISO 14001. Efficiency measures and action plan 2030

In the last 10-15 years, the company has continuously implemented measures to increase energy efficiency. Particularly noteworthy are measures such as the renewal of the thermal oil boiler, which was which was reduced in size compared to the existing boiler and equipped with an internal heat recovery system and a regulated burner.

A significant energy consumer at RATTPACK® is the movement of air. In this area, the existing drives are drives are continuously modernised with FI controls and IE4 motors. Likewise, the lighting is continuously being converted to LED.

The possibility of using groundwater allows cost- and energy-efficient building cooling and, in some areas, process cooling. Where possible, systems for heat recovery and waste heat and waste heat recovery are used wherever possible. These are installed in the compressed air compressors and in production and exhaust air purification processes.

The share of PV electricity is currently in the range of 4 %. This electricity is used 100 % at the site. An expansion of the plant by 500 to 600 kWp is being considered.
