History:

Foundations of craftsmanship - the beginnings

The amazing corporate history of the RATTPACK Group began in 1953 - as a craft business founded by Hugo Ratt, who processed gray cardboard into shoe boxes. This was the beginning of our success story, which centers on craftsmanship and future-oriented thinking.

Industrialization & forward-looking specialization

In 1965, Wolfgang Ratt took over the management of the prospering family business and laid the foundation for today's success with his forward-looking corporate policy. He focused on specialization and the further industrialization of the company and introduced the first offset printing presses, automatic die cutters and gluing systems. The product range soon expanded, initially in the pharmaceutical sector.

Growing with reason & sustainability

In 2003, Stephan and Matthias Ratt took the helm together. A decision had to be made: stay small but fine and cover niches or grow with reason. With This decision marked the beginning of the RATTPACK Group's path to growth with reason and sustainability, with a focus on innovation, quality and service excellence.

As pioneers in the industry, we were the first print shop in Austria to be certified to ISO 9001 back in 1992 and to EN 46001 (GMP) certification. We have implemented an Environmental Management System and joined Energy Efficiency Team 2 to achieve 2% energy savings per year for 36 months.

We are proud to recover 600,000 liters of solvent annually and reintegrate it into our production process. In addition, we ensure that our paper and cardboard waste ends up in the cardboard waste ends up in the recycling loop.
